After forming in the summer of 2009, Forerunner began playing the venues and clubs of the Brighton circuit, immediately winning fans with their energetic live shows and catchy melodies. From then on, they spread further afield into the South of England, building momentum and hype with a strong internet presence. In Spring 2010 they were voted one of the top 10 live acts in Brighton, receiving the opportunity to play on the Heart radio stage at the Brighton marathon (over 12,000 ran the marathon and thousands more attended the stages set around the course.)

Later that summer the band played a number of shows at Newday, a large festival put on by newfrontiers every year. With an increasing number of credible events to their name, Forerunner's reputation continues to grow stronger and stronger. In March 2011, the band released their first EP 'Hold Your Fire' - which is available to purchase from their website at www.forerunnermusic.co.uk/shop . They also have their song "We Are Yours" featured on the Newday 2011 Live Worship album the song is also available to download for FREE from their website.
