As August approaches… …we will see quieter Sunday mornings in terms of people as many are away on holiday breaks. We will still meet every Sunday at 10:30am with a normal service, however other activities are not as regular. This What’s On will hopefully give you some interesting things to read and think about during this month. There is also lots of Autumn dates for you to make a note of in the diary!
Ignite at Newday Next week sees our young people head to Norfolk Showground for a week of teaching, worship, camping and lots of fun at the annual youth festival called ‘Newday’. We have been sending our youth to this event for the last 14 years and they always met powerfully with God in the sessions and come back with great stories to tell, whether its of healing or hearing God’s truth a fresh.
Please pray for them and our youth leaders taking them.
New Staff Member – Open House Project Coordinator
As you may have seen we have been looking to recruit a member of staff to support our work with the Open House project when Theresa steps down at the end of July. We are delighted to announced that the role will be taken on by Sue Lightowler who will begin in September.
Dive into Matthew before our series in September! In September we begin our 10 sermon series on the book of Matthew. Read one of the books on the shelf over the Summer including Tom Wright’s ‘Matthew for Everyone’ or Phil Moore’s ‘Straight to the heart of Matthew’Special Sunday Launching the New Series – Sunday 10th September @ 10:30am Start thinking now who you could invite along whether it is someone new to or someone coming back to church.Special Seminar on Matthew –Wednesday 13th September @ 8pm This will go into greater depth into the first preach and give time for question and answer.
Lots of Books! We have been greatly blessed to receive a large donation of brand new books from ‘Harper Collins’. The books we received include christian autobiographies, bibles, kids books and a wide variety of other christian topics. We will be using these for a range of different ministry areas within the church.

NEW 4PM SERVICE Every Sunday from 15th October 4pm @ Hope Church Centre As was announced on Sunday we will be launching a new kind of service in October, which will be a lot different to our morning service. Please pray as we build this new congregation of people and for the team running it.
An Evening In His Presence – RELAUNCH
We also announced that we will be relaunching our once a month evening service in the Autumn. These evenings are about giving more time to God in a variety of ways as we focus on a specific theme each time. The format for each service will look different but usually include some worship.
Sunday 3rd September – A New Start Our first evening will focus on the start of the new season, fresh back from Summer. Join us in praying for Hope Church and our friends across Luton. We are looking forward to interceding and hearing from the Father together.

Courageous Exchange – Men in Transformation from Child Abuse & Addiction
This is a Christian-based mentoring programme where men who have a sustained experience of freedom available to support who are looking for that freedom. It aims to-
Work alongside one another giving shame free support
Model dignity instead of condemnation, hope instead of guilt, intimacy instead of isolation, grace instead of shame.
Experience transition from victim to survivor to thriver.
Equip mentors to support men affected by childhood trauma and or an obsession with sex.
Develop a cycle of pleasure in purity and break the cycle of defeat.
Journey from trauma and/or gripping habit to true freedom.
Azalea Foundation Training for potential Frontline Volunteers Azalea is looking for men and women to apply to join our frontline teams: Flint (reaching men), Trafficking support team, Recovery Programme and the existing Drop-in and Outreach.
All potential volunteers must complete the training before applying to join an Azalea team. Further specialised training will be given for each area of exploitation. Saturday 9th September and Saturday 7th October(both dates must be attended)

Home Leone Trip to Sierra Leone 22-29 October 2017
MissionAll sent a team to Destiny Village in October 2016 to help the charity Home Leone build houses. Toby Johnston will also be going to Sierra Leone in September to teach car mechanics. There is another opportunity to go again with a team for a week this Autumn.
