Jonathan is married to Elizabeth and they have 3 wonderful children – Luke, Esther and Matthew. They moved to Luton in 2013 and love the diversity of ages and backgrounds within Hope Church. Jon loves freedom, and is passionate about people being free to be fully themselves before God. For relaxation, you can normally find him watching a decent film, or swimming at Luton’s Inspire pool. Linda has lived in several countries around the world including Singapore, Australia and Nigeria, but she spent the first years of her life here in Luton. She loves travelling and spending time with her family and friends. Linda is an experienced teacher who still teaches in Luton. She has served on a number of different teams both at school and within the church and brings considerable leadership gifting to Hope Church. Mike and his wife Jane are founder members of Hope Church. His experience as a father of four, including triplet boys, has equipped him to be one of the fathers of the church; someone people seek out for a quiet chat and a caring word. Mike has a gift which enables him to make people feel secure. He is known as someone who can turn his hand to anything practical and has been pivotal in refurbishing and maintaining our building. He also ensures everything runs smoothly on a Sunday morning. Mike has worked for many years as an IT manager, and as a church we benefit from this experience of leading teams and supporting people in the workplace.

Moumouni came to faith in Christ from a Muslim background and he felt called to a church planting ministry in the Muslim majority context of Niger in West Africa. This calling led him to leave his teaching career and get involved with a pioneering church planting ministry in Niamey, the capital city, where he met his wife Shiona. Shiona was also involved with church planting in Niger, working with a UK based mission organisation. After a period of training and church planting in Niger, Moumouni and Shiona moved back to the UK in 2010. Moumouni works for the Post Office, alongside this he has recently completed an M.A with the London School of Theology and Middlesex University. Moumouni and Shiona have two teenage children, Benjamin and Joash. Moumouni is an ardent reader and has a keen interest on current affairs.

Rachel, a dedicated mother to two young boys, Judah and Jonah, moved to Luton with her husband John in 2014. With a legal background as a solicitor, Rachel currently shares her expertise as a lecturer at a law school in London. Growing up in a Muslim household, Rachel discovered her faith in her teenage years and now serves as a worship leader, finding joy in guiding others in their spiritual journeys. Alongside her professional pursuits, Rachel is deeply passionate about education, evident in her role as a governor at Lady Zia Wernher school. She believes in empowering the next generation to reach their full potential and eagerly looks forward to making a positive impact within her community. In her free time, Rachel indulges her love for baking by making delicious cupcakes!

Elizabeth is married to Jonathan and moved to Luton in 2013. They have three children – Luke, Esther and Matthew. Elizabeth’s heart is in discipleship and seeing people grow in their relationship with God. She is an experienced teacher and in her spare time loves going for walks or bike rides in the nearby countryside

Tony Thompson leads Hope Church in Luton, he is married to Anne. He seeks to enable churches to work together across Luton, as a member of Churches Together in Luton Executive. Tony has a history of involvement in starting churches in the UK. Tony enjoys running and reading in his leisure time and has completed the London marathon on numerous occasions.
